Diane Hartwick

 

Diane is not only a multi-talented crafter, but she is one of the web designers of this site! Her contribution to the market includes one-of-a-kind beaded jewelry, candles, soaps and in addition, she is an accomplished seamstress. Diane's adorable Raggedy Anne Dolls come in huggable sets or as a single doll designed as a door draft dodger. She offers a variety of fabric media products in the market. As a teen she started crafing and never quit. She and her husband, Roy, reside in the Bruce Crossing area of the UP. Diane is the president of the Community Women's Group.

Geraldine Nielsen

 

Imagine two small girls, ages four and six, operating an old fashioned treadle sewing machine.  One sews while the other pushes the treadle.  As soon as one finishes her doll dress, they trade places.  Present where Gerri the four-year old who, although battling polio and other health issues as a child, continues her love of sewing and has added knitting, crocheting, and tatting to her creative handiwork.

As a bride to be, Gerri created her own wedding dress as well as making the dresses for her bridesmaids. Along with marriage came a son for Gerri to sew for as well as making clothes for the neighborhood children.

She has a rack of dresses for American Girl Doll and Cabbage Dolls

She is know for her Kitchen Scrubbies in 2014 she sold over 1500

Teresa Palosaari
Teresa Palosaari of Chassell, Michigan is a multi-talented and  creative person.  She is involved with a family farm and enjoys picking a variety of berries and canning them.  Fleece blankets, crocheted kitchen towels, along with other fiber items, and a variety of ornaments, jewelry and homemade wild berry jams, are just some of Teresa's products that can be found at the UP Made Artist Market.  If you're passing through Chassell, don't miss Teresa's charming new log cabin craft shop - watch for the cheery red signboard!
